Please take a moment and respond to the Animoto Video on Modernism. Does it make you more or less excited about learning about these men and their works? Is there something that you would have liked to have seen in the video that was not there?

The Animoto Video on Modernism is something that should be used at the start of a unit in school. The video is a great way to briefly and quickly show the class what will be in the unit. It makes me more excited to learn about it because then I would be going into the unit remembering faces or names instead of not knowing anything on the topic and getting confused. It is also a better attention grabber than a piece of paper with a bunch of names and black and white pictures. I would have maybe liked to see names and or one sentence summaries about the people with pictures so I could match a name to a face and get a general understanding of who they are and what they did.

The Animoto Video on Modernism is a great way to start off a new unit and introduce a new topic to the class. I makes me more exited about the unit be will be learning about because it gives the class more of a fun experience. It convert plain old photos and statements into a video that the students will want to see, instead of a dull PowerPoint. The video seemed to move a little faster than i would like it to but other than that it is a great form of introducing a new topic.

The Animoto Video created about Modernism was not only fun and interesting, but also very informative. With this video I have been inspired to learn more on the topic and read the books shown. The photos and quotes in the video were eye catching and persuasive in a way that makes myself as a student want to obtain more information about the subject. With Animoto I believe the student body as a whole would take certain subjects into more interest and retain information more easily. The points given were short and specific making it easy to remember and the music made it less boring, which is always a plus when trying to make a topic more interesting. Overall i think the Animoto video should definitely be added to the school classrooms and school curriculum.

This presentation was an enjoyable over glaze of modernism. It had several key books and corresponding quotes, as well as a brief summary of what modernism is. It does make me more excited to learn about modernism (and not just because I already enjoy the genre) because it was a good presentation. It was entertaining, attention grabbing, and informative. More importantly it was not just listed information on a slide like most powerpoint presentations are, and because of this I was able to maintain interest through out the entire presentation.

The Animoto video on was a fun and new way of showing the topic of Modernism. Instead of something like a Powerpoint or writing on the board which can be quite boring especially when starting a new topic, it used music and moving slides to show Modernism in an exciting way. Each point about modernism was short and made the presentation easy to stay focused to and engaged the viewer in the topic. But at the same time it gave enough information to get a general understanding of what modernism is. I definitely think this was a good attention grabber for the beginning of Modernism

The Animoto video that showed the topic Modernism was a fun and educational video that helped show what Modernism is like and some books and authors that are related to the topic. The video was much better than just taking notes from a powerpoint or reading a packet because it showed us picture and short explanations of what Modernism is about. Although the points on the video were short it still helped demonstrate the meaning of Modernism and the music also created a welcoming mood. Overall the Animoto video was a good idea and should be used to cover more topics in the future.

The Animoto video on modernism that was shown in class was very cool. The song that was played was very cool, and it is a great attention attractor. It made the viewer want to continue watching it. The list of the modernist authors was very interesting as well. I liked how the description of what modernism is was given at the very beginning. It gave the viewer some information, and also gave the viewer an idea of what the presentation was about. This presentation was great, and the short sentences made me want to learn more. Altogether this presentation was amazing.

After viewing this presentation about modernism, it makes me want to learn more about the subject. It seems to be a great way to start off a new topic so that students will remember the main points and the famous writers from this video. In comparison to a PowerPoint presentation, this was better in a sense that there was music that kept the viewer more interested and the animations and pictures were appealing. In addition, the presentation was informative enough without having to read a large amount of writing that bores the reader. In less than three minutes, students can learn some information about modernism and it makes me want to learn more about the men and their works in modernism as other students would enjoy it.

After watching the Animoto Video on Modernism it dose make me excited to learn about Modernism. I really like the Modernist view point of the authors with how they believed the would was what we made of it. I think it will be interesting to see how it is reflected in their stories. I very curious to see how these will break the traditional ideas as well. In the video it mentioned that their stories are about lose and despair but then it says that they focus on the idea of inter strength which i personally find as two intriguing things to put together to create a great story. The movie also makes me excited to read the books of the authors used as examples, i really liked the ideas in them an the quotes brought up interesting topics. Over all Modernism seems like something that will be a lot of fun to learn about.

It actually kept me awake and I did not fall asleep while watching it. I look forward to seeing more things about Modernism and learning the fascinating things about Modernism.

I enjoyed the Animoto Video on Modernism because the way it was presented through black and white pictures and music. Instead of other ways to present the subject, which would be much more boreing this gets the viewer wanting to learn more about Modernism in the fantastic way it was presented. The clocks also brightened my day, and the other backgrounds. The music likewise did because it seemed to synchronize to the moving pictures. I thoroughly enjoyed the Animoto.

I believe that the Animoto video was a very useful tool that could help many people learn better. The pictures and music definitely help those students who learn using visuals instead of other learning methods. The colorful displays helped draw my attention to the presentation and engaged me in what was being said. The only thing I don' think people would like is having to read that much. Maybe if the sentences were in different colors or fonts, it would be more attracting and make students more eager to read them! Overall though, I really think that students could learn a lot through these Animoto videos. It made me intrigued to learn more about modernism :)

After watching this animoto video, it makes me more interested in the upcoming unit. It also gives a bit of insight for modernism without having too much to read. It was not overwhelming or dull, but perfectly balenced because of the music and pictures. Another great thing about the video is that, unlike a PowerPoint, it had many moving parts to it which made it more appealing. Overall it definitely makes me more excited about what we will soon be learning

The animoto video was very informative. It actually got me interested in the topic of modernism. It was not a boring powerpoint, and therefore would attract more students to learn from it. I think that the video supplied a good overview of modernism and great contributing themes to popular books and authors of that era. I also thought the music went along nicely with the video, and brought the whole thing together. overall a well put together video.

This video on modernism was mezmerizing to me. It really grabbed my attention in a way I didn't think any english video could. It took ideas that I did not care about or even understand that well and made me want to actually learn about modernism. the music in the backround was the thing that put it over the top I believe. The video talked about books and ideas having to do with modernism. I think you should have included more video type things that correlate with the books that are being presented.

I think that this video was pretty good. Those videos should also be used as a summary of a book before we start reading it so we have an idea what is expecting us. The music works well with your topic and it actually makes me interested to learn more about the books and authors.

After I watched this video on modernism, my first thought was that it was a very creative presentation. It appealed to me, and got me interested on the subject. I never thought about modernism being so full of interesting aspects, however the video illustrated many parts of modernism such as the famous authors and quotes that relate to our generation. The video illustrated it in such a way, that was not at all boring, but much more appealing to people these days. This video makes me want to learn more about modernism due to the way it was presented. I would much rather watch an Animoto video rather than any other type of presentation, because it is overall just great.

The animoto video on the topic of modernism made me more interested in the upcoming unit. I believe that videos like this would have been interesting on the other subjects we have studied in class. The video was very intriguing. The video gave a nice overview of the topic of modernism and some of the most influential authors in the genre.

The Animoto video was very interesting. It captured my attention and really actually made me want to learn more (that's hard to do). I loved all of the pictures of the people because 1. who doesn't like pictures? and 2. It was nice knowing who those people looked like and it was cool how you incorporated the quotes in there. It added a nice touch. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about it. Even the music was awesome. So overall I quite enjoyed it and yes it does make me want to learn more about those people. :-)

After watching the video, I am very interested in learning more about modernism. It not only grabbed my attention but the amount of information was good. Although it seems like there is very little information because there are not a lot of words, the video speaks to the viewer in a non traditional way. It makes you put some thought into what you are watching rather than being told all the information. These videos would be good at the beginning of a unit or as a recap at the end of a unit, and the graphics and music throughout it kept my attention well focused.

This video is a great way to teach and get the students interested. With this it gave an overview of what would be disscussed, it kept it short and simple rather than large explinations that don't make sence and make it complicated. It makes class more interesting because it is like a movie but unlike a documentary that seems slow, this video kept its speed up and is more like a movie that is for entertainment. The music is a great thing to add in the background because it gives the video life. These videos can be used for many things and are very intreging. This is a good way to keep students interested in class.

The modernism video immediately grabbed my attention with the photos and music where as a powerpoint on modernism would have not. A powerpoint would have also been extremely boring. The video made me want to read, learn and explore the era of modernism. I think we should use animoto for the next project. The video is an excellent way to introduce modernism to students.

The Animoto video was a unique and interesting way of presenting your subject. It was far superior to the regular microsoft powerpoint nonsense that most people have come to know. The combination of the background, pictures, and the selected music helped to enhance the viewing experience. Another plus was the condensing of information into the space provided. It was awesome because reading an entire paragraph is very inconvenient. Overall, you did a very nice job.

I enjoyed the modernism video, I'm usually not one to want to read but this made interested in his works. I think it could serve a purpose as either backup for a unit being done on that author or as an introduction. More technology things like this should be associated with reading if so I think
More people like myself would read ALOT more.

After watching the animoto video about modernism, i was very intrigued. By using sentence fragments it intirgued me more because it only expressed a few important details on the subject, and made me want to know more. I like how you used small quotes from books that are important to the study of modernism. Overall the video was great! I think it would be awsome if our classes were presented with a video like this one before we explore new topics, it would help us become more interested.

The animoto video immediately sparked my interest the works of modernism. It created a unique new view of the work and its authors giving it a fresh new feel to it, the graphics that were added to the video along with the interesting calligraphy of the writing also caught my attention and made me greater admire the video. The only thing that I have to say that is a criticism is that the music chosen was a slightly to short and thus I had to speed read any of the things that were written making it feel almost to fast paced. Other than that the video was a fabulous piece of work I enjoyed greatly.

You also listed several famous modernist authors, giving names as a reference point to anyone interested in learning more about the genre, which I found neat. You choice of music was also good, which is a plus. Overall, this was pretty awesome. Good job.

The Aninmoto video was very intriguing and made me want to learn more about Modernism. The animation and the music were captivating and attention grabbing. I would like to learn more about the writings of the time period because of the Animoto. If Mr.Palmieri were to use this across the board to teach a preview of Moderism to his students, I believe it would be effective and worthwile.

Jee Wilikers!!!!!!! This moderism presentation blew my mind away!!! The organization and timeline of the video flowed very well. I like how you listed each author from the time they impacted modernism. I like how is was a video instead of a boring speech or a poster. Most people enjoys videos then powerpoints and it just looks more interesting. The background music was also cool and made the introduction of moderism more dramatic.

The animoto modernism video was very good as introduction to the topic. It provided many good examples of authors who wrote in this genre, and good examples of literature. It was a more interesting way to present it than just doing a powerpoint because it had movement and music which made it more enjoyable to watch.

This not going to sound right, but here goes. First, I'm very visual, so something like this catches my attention. BUT, the video makes it seem like this “will be fun and exciting”, like a ‘Join the Army’ video. However, like the Army video you don’t see the work that will be required. I’m not saying the reward won’t be worth the work, only that I doubt every day will have the flashy fun of the video. Granted, this is through my eyes as a pragmatist (Sports Psy survey). I don’t like to read, however, a lot of learning requires reading, so I read. I don’t like to write, but I try to learn to write well because it’s a necessary skill. I do, however, like thinking and trying on new ideas. Looking into the video tells me I’ll be doing all three.

Watching this video definitely made me more excited to learn about Modernism. It was much more captivating and engaging than a powerpoint would have been, as both the music and backgrounds helped keep me interested. I really liked how simply the main ideas of Modernism were stated. Brief sentences as opposed to an overload of words are much easier for students to both understand and remember. I liked how the video included pictures of the authors, their works, and a quote from one of their works because that gave me a taste of the authors' writings and ideas to associate them with. I especially liked the part of the video that said, “Their works challenged what was accepted, asked more.” Overall, this video gave me a great taste of what Modernism is all about. There really isn’t anything I would have liked to see in the video that wasn’t there, as all of the elements were effective in grabbing my attention and getting me excited to learn more about Modernism.
